Kym Chi recently graduated in May of 2011 from a Permaculture Design Course. After taking this course, Kym become very passionate about permaculture and transforming lawns into sustainable systems.
Kym attended a few blitzes and shortly afterward became involved with designing and facilitating implementation of a large urban farm for an organization called the AREA. At the AREA Kym has currently facilitated the installation of many permaculture based systems including a community Mandala garden over swales, a pallet composting system (4 bin), a composting toilet and a soon to be planted guilded fruit forest.
Above and beyond her Permaculture experience Kym has gained some natural building experience at a cob building intensive where she learned the core aspects of building a cob structure (for living) as well as other natural building techniques such as slip straw, bale cob, and plastering. Kym has also gained some experience building a cob oven and a rocket mass heater.
Prior to her involvement in the Permaculture community, Kym was experienced as a scenic painter, Reiki practitioner and manager. These experiences allowed her to develop creativity, a deep connection with nature, and build communication and facilitation skills.
With Kym's experience she will be able to create your design, and facilitate it's implementation while staying passionate, dedicated and organized!
