The Calgary Horticultural Society will be hosting this wonderful event on Saturday April 16. The timing is perfect for those of your settting up your garden this year!

A COMMUNITY GARDENS NETWORKING EVENT

“ROOTS, SHOOTS, AND LEAVES”

Join us for the morning to learn all there is to know about successfully growing:

• Root crops- Presented by Jerremie Clyde of Urban Sunflower Market Gardens

• Asparagus –Presented by Elna Edgar of Edgar Farms Ltd. from Innisfail

• Salad greens- Presented by Kath Smyth, Horticulturalist

When: Saturday, April 16st, 2011

Where: Albert Park Radisson Heights Community Hall

1310-28th Street S.E.

Time: 9:00am – 12:00 pm

Free Parking: Lots of parking available at the Hall

Light Refreshments: coffee and muffins to go

Cost: Just $10 - Proceeds to be used to fund future educational events in 2011 and the new Albert Park Community Garden.
